"To create a hygge movie night you'll remember in the days to come, choose a movie that you know will warm your heart. Light a candle or two that smells delicious. Make yourself a cup of tea or hot chocolate, and the popcorn you love most. Then sink into comfort on your couch with your favorite cozy blanket or throw within easy reach." ~ Jeanine For this week's movie night, I have chosen The Holiday... Best quality I could find on YouTube seemed to be the $2.99 version, but if you have cable, you may be able to find it on demand. Why choose what seems to be a Christmas movie? Because I have always though of it as a New Year's movie. It's all about new beginnings, and making the kinds of changes we all think about when the new year approaches. So mid-January-ish, if you're needing a hygge warm movie with a new-years feeling, this is it. It's one of my favorite movies & I watch it once a year. Have you seen it? And it's the weekend, so what better (or easier) time to create a hygge movie moment? Make some popcorn or hot chocolate, gather family or friends, or watch it alone. Sit in your most comfy seat and light a candle to make the moment even more special. “Candles are always aglow in Danish homes the moment the sun goes down, especially in the winter. Even at cafes, you’ll see people sitting outside in late Fall all the way until March with candles on their tables, lap blankets and a cup of something warm.” -Holly Becker
