I can't even count how many times I have done this challenge (sometimes even with the same blog as the time before, LOL.) And each time I love the experience & am grateful for it! I hope all of the other bloggers have enjoyed it just as much. I love that I get to meet new people & discover new blogs. And I get quite a bit more traffic than I can compel on my own. Hopefully, I'll be back again for the challenge in January or April. Hope to see you there! |
Which of the Archetypes Did You Like Best?
If you want to see all my tries for each archetype in the Fantastical Beauty system, click here.
What I love about trying them all is that even though I don't identify with them all, I feel like I know how to borrow them if I need to infuse my day with the strengths they offer. I could dress in one of those outfits, or a similar one, and be dressing intentionally with what I need that day in mind.
Which archetype would you most like to take into the rest of your day? Once you've selected one, consider creating a capsule wardrobe for it.
Thanks so much for joining me on this journey!
For me, it clarified that Seer is my best archetype and solidified my plans for doing it casually, using the Banshee subtype. I'm excited to have built my own casual Banshee capsule wardrobe.
Did it make anything clearer about your own style? I hope it did!
Next month, starting tomorrow, I'll be blogging about winter blues, seasonal depression, seasonal affective disorder, etc. Join me for my Winter Blues Series.
See you then!

I love Siren!! It seemed to call to me as soon as I saw it. And I love to sing!
When I was younger, I sang in the school chorus, took voice lessons & was sure I'd be the next great nightclub singer. Instead, I went to college and became a therapist, but I still love to sing. :)
When you choose a type (like Seer), you get to play with all of its subtypes, and Siren inspired quite a few wrap tops with ruching! The theme of the Siren wardrobe is the waves of the sea.
So this subtype is a fun one to play with, but there is one that I love even more. It is very hygge in its style...
Banshee feels even more like home to me! Even in a spiritual sense, its connection to Irish faeries and the Tuatha de Danaan speaks to me.
"The Irish Banshee is a solitary fairy who is thought to be much larger than the Hawthorne tree loving fairies of the Irish backyard. The Banshee is a lonely Sidhe and in Irish lore believes that she has one particular human family that each is attached to. Her wails foretell of death in that family, but it is not your family Sidhe that is coming for you; she is simply mourning the passing of your family member with you." ~ Irish Faeries
And what the Banshee wears is so cozy!!
I just participated recently in a ten-day Fantastical Beauty challenge. Here is her blog post describing this autumn challenge (her plan is one each season, she's said).
I chose the Banshee subtype as my type for the ten days, so if you want to see more possibilities for this Seer subtype, just click on the category "#klm10" or "banshee subtype" on the right side of this blog.
And check out my collage below. Also, if you haven't listened to the video yet, you can here her description there.
What do you think? Was there a subtype you like more than the others? Or another one she mentioned in the video that calls to you?
See you next time!

My Casual Seer Outfits
So, Seer has kind of a dark, witchy vibe, which I love, but the truth is that both my coloring and my spirit are lighter. So I really don't need a whole of black in my outfits. It kind of overwhelms me. But I cheat sometimes.
I love Seer's vibe and this is the archetype where I feel most at home, but I would need to do it with a lighter touch.
So the outfit below is my nod to what suits me best. Those are my favorite colors. But sometimes, lighter colors feel more open and maybe even more vulnerable because they feel like me. Brown and black combinations make me feel more safe, I think.
Do you ever hide inside the colors you wear?
I am challenging myself to wear the Light Autumn colors that really suit me best. For me, they are more hygge, because I see myself in them, instead of feeling the stress of borrowing from a palette that's not my own (that isn't kind to me, either.)
Do you notice a difference when you are wearing the right colors?
See you tomorrow!
Love, Jeanine
