Are You a Valkyrie?

Valkyrie has a lot to offer as an archetype. Strength, courage, empowerment, confidence. Are these qualities that you need? Is this archetype what your style story is waiting for?

If there are situations in your life where you tend to lose your power, or confidence, this might be an archetype that would help. If you have battles to fight, here is where to give yourself strength.

If you are naturally strong & empowered, this archetype might be the best way to express that.

Here are a couple of questions I hope you will consider as we take this journey through the archetypes is "what do I want what I wear to say about me? What does who I am look like in clothes?"

See you tomorrow!

Love, Jeanine

Great question, I don't think my clothes define ,me. As most of mine are hand me downs I have got from someone else. I don't have a particular style. Unless you count lace and ruffles as a style.

Hi Sandy! Of course, they count. There are several types that have lace and a few that have ruffles. Sometimes, it is in the subtypes, though, that you find them and I will be discussing those, too. If your clothes don't yet define you, they can. :)

YES! I'm Norwegian and Czechoslovakian, plus a few other Heinz 57 varieties, and I have occasionally observed that my wild Gypsy princess claims that "blood is thicker than water," while my Viking goddess suggests, "Let's spill some." This post taught me something about Norse mythology that I didn't know, AND gave me some fashion tips!

This is so interesting! Love the qualities of the Valkyrie - strength, courage, empowerment, confidence! These are also the qualities to have a happy life and a successful career or business. Combine the look with action and you'll be unstoppable!

I love that, Cindy!! I agree. And each archetype offers a piece of the "happy life" pie. :)

Jeanine, what resonates most for me in this style is STRENGTH. I want more. :-) I love the dark neutrals, and some days I really crave to be encased in them. Thanks for the Valkyrie! Blessings--Kebba

Hi Kebba! Those are the things I like about it, too. Dark brown is my absolute fave dark neutral. And I think it grounds me, and I feel good in it. Empowered. You are most welcome! ~Jeanine

Jeanine, I know you know about traditional color analysis, in which we learn we are "warm" or "cool" in our complexion tones. I was analyzed as borderline Spring-Summer, and a lot of colors look flattering on me. But the strangest evolution of my clothing color relationships may be from the Valkyrie vibe: I look great in all colors that could be chocolate! (This with gold hair and British pale skin!) It's more than complexion that makes colors flattering, isn't it? Blessings--

So interesting and cool. I am very interested in these fashions. My fashion style is random and haphazard, depending on what sort of clothing I can buy from garage sales and consignment shops. I usually like to wear bright colors or pastels because they make me happy but, according to traditional color analysis, the season that describes me is autumn. I look better in warm colors than cool.

I wouldn't mind feeling and looking more powerful, however.
