Now that we've talked about winter blues, seasonal affective disorder and how hygge can help with both, the rest of the month will bring you 21 days of hygge. If you have been inspired enough to try to create hygge moments in your own life, then you could take these next 21 days as a sort of challenge & try to create at least one hygge experience each day, keeping track of what impact it has on your day. And here at the blog, I'll give you some hygge ideas. We'll have hygge weekends with movie nights & hot chocolate, we'll have comfort food recipes and lots of other fun things I have planned.

So let's get started with laughter...

Laughter is Healing

Anything that can be healing is hygge, in my opinion, because that means it can lead to the feelings that hygge represents. One of my favorite grad school memories is sitting on the couch with one of my friends, watching Billy Crystal videos we'd rented and laughing so hard we could hardly catch our breath. This is one of them!

See you tomorrow, loves!

Thanks for the reminder to find or create a reason to laugh.

Lillian, I have just come from reading your post & your comment, in light of it, is moving! Personally, I wonder sometimes how I would have made it through some of the really difficult times I have had if I hadn't had my sense of humor, and found ways to laugh. And Billy Crystal has wrenched some of the deepest belly laughs I have ever had!

Whenever I teach a class or facilitate a workshop, I hope my students laugh at least once!

I have hoped for the same thing with therapy clients, healing clients, and coaching clients. Because it's so powerful!
