Hot chocolate and a Christmas movie! What could be better?
Tonight, I was delighted to watch If Only I Had Christmas, a Hallmark Christmas movie that premiered a week ago or so, as part of the Countdown to Christmas lineup for the 2020 holiday season. It’s a charming movie, that may, if you watch closely, remind you of another rather charming movie.
The two romantic characters, Darcy and Glen, have a meet cute that helps to form the foundation for the relationship that builds throughout the movie.
And what I loved most about this movie was the banter between them. It was so obvious that they were open to each other and the possibility of something developing between them, though they didn’t say so overtly.
Unfortunately, the audience can see the speed bump that is coming, and sometimes, when that happens, it makes it impossible for me to enjoy the movie as much as I might have. But not this time. It really was delightful!
I don’t want to say too much more about it, for fear that I will give something away, but I urge you to go to the Hallmark channel, find out when it will be on next, and make a date with yourself to watch it!
See you next time.
P.S. This will give away a spoiler - which is the other movie this one might remind you of, but Hallmark did create Bingo cards to use as you watch the movie.
Might make it more fun! If you want to play, download the pdf below...
