Remembering Christmas...

I know this has been a Christmas like no other, for all of us, because of the pandemic. But hopefully, you were able to experience some moments that were sweet, and some that were fun.

Take a moment now to begin remembering positive moments from this holiday season.

In a few more days, we'll take a deeper dive into your experience of this unusual Christmas. But for now, let yourself remember any moments that were cozy or adorable or happy during the past couple of months.

Is there one that stands out from the rest?

My Favorite Christmas Memories

Almost always, when I look back on a holiday season, my favorite memories are about watching Christmas movies. And in Christmases past, watching them was especially wonderful, because sometimes my son would watch part or all of a movie with me.

You see, that used to be our thing, during the holiday season.

We would both get excited about watching the Christmas TV shows and movies. But he is older now, and has outgrown his love of all things Christmas.

So it's especially sweet (nostalgic, even) when we spend time together watching a TV show or movie. And there were some great ones this year.

My favorite moment, this Christmas Day, 2020, was when my son and I were singing and dancing to Christmas songs we found on YouTube!

But I also loved our meatball, sausage and spaghetti dinner, and watching the Charlie Brown Christmas episode. In fact, that last part, when we ate apple pie and watched the show felt like the best part of the Christmas season for me.

We had a great day, together.

What were your favorite Christmas memories?

See you tomorrow!

My favorite Christmas memories will always be 1965 when I met Rich on Christmas day and on Christmas morning 1968 when our first child was born. It doesn't get any better than that! Blessing to you and your son for a wonderful New Year.

You're right, Martha! It doesn't get any better than that.

Jeanine, I love that you have had Christmas traditions. And I love you and your son dancing to YouTube videos! How cool!
I do Christmas differently every year. This year, I have a new super joyful memory: a 75-minute phone visit with my youngest sister (10 years younger than me). We discovered that we are very alike in our observations, and we both crave to have another visit soon. Joy!

Oh, that sounds wonderful, Kebba!! I love that you had such a good visit with your sister. Family memories often end up being the ones we cherish the most!

Honestly, my favourite part of holidays used to be dressing my little bro in puffy dresses and making him Christmas tree sometimes, but he's grown up now. Doesn't let me do it.😂🎄
