Who could have imagined the delight of a Christmas series? My only wish is that each episode was an hour, and it was given to us in installment, instead of all the episodes being there at once, on Netflix. The series is Dash and Lily, and I'm so glad I watched it!
It all begins with a little red book, tucked away on a shelf in the upper level of a bookstore in New York...
As they wrote to each other, and dared each other to live out adventures each one chose for the other, they began to get to know both themselves and each other in ways they wouldn't have if they had met in any other way.
Dash and Lily are young. Lily is still in high school. I'm not sure if Dash is, as well, but if not, he wouldn't be much older.
But this story, based on a book, definitely has a young adult feel to it. In fact, I was surprised to find out how young they were.
The characters are both delightful to get to know, and I didn't want the series to end. The ending was satisfying, but I'd still love to know what happened after Christmas.
It's a charming series and I recommend adding it to your Christmas what-to-watch list.
Have you ever watched a Christmas series before?
See you next time!
