The Ten Original Christmas Tag Questions
When do your decorations go up?
We usually put the Christmas decorations up right after Thanksgiving. Some years, I have done it that night.
Who is the Scrooge of your family or friendship group?
My son. I could hardly get him to sit still for a conversation about making plans to celebrate.
And he didn’t watch any Christmas movies with me. He used to love Christmas as much as I do, but as he got older, he began to like it less.
If money were no object, how and where would you spend Christmas?
In a small Christmas town where there were lots of Christmas activities planned. You know, like in a Hallmark movie. :)
What festive film do you HAVE to watch every festive season?
To be honest, I don’t watch it every year. But I love to watch The Holiday - it’s one of my faves.
Who do you find hardest to buy presents for?
My son, because he says he doesn’t really want anything. I think he would be disappointed if I ever actually listened to him & didn’t buy him anything. But he sure doesn’t help me decide what to get - I just sort of guess, or get what I think he needs.
Would you rather buy lots of little presents for a hamper, or by one big/main present?
I love finding little gifts I know the person will like. Especially if I have already gotten a big gift and I know they won’t expect anything else, it’s nice to surprise them with extras.
What did you leave out for Santa when you were a child?
In our family, we didn’t leave anything out. I think I was an adult before I heard that people did that.
Where did you spend last Christmas?
With friends. It turned out to be a huge celebration, because we all opened our gifts one at a time, and there were six of us. It was really fun!
Which Christmas song makes you cringe?
I’m not sure there is one. *pauses to think* Well, I used to get tired of Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, and I guess I would rather not hear it again. Does that count?
If you could be a character in a holiday movie, who would you be and why?
Miles from The Holiday! He’s *such* a kind, sweet guy, and he can sing and write music. He is so good with people. And he gets to fall in love with a forever person.
“In the movies we have leading ladies and we have the best friend. You, I can tell, are a leading lady, but for some reason you are behaving like the best friend.” - Arthur Abbott
Tash's Two Questions
Do you have a Christmas Eve box?
Not sure what a Christmas Eve box is. Do you mean stocking? I do have one of those, but no mantle, at the moment.
What is your favorite Christmas song?
I’m not sure what my favorite Christmas song is, because I love so many. Maybe “Christmas Time is Here?” - it’s so sweet. The one that moves me most is “Grown-Up Christmas List.”
One thing that stands out to me more, and more, is that I love acoustic Christmas music!! Especially guitar music. It’s an exquisite experience.
