Two Simple, Easy Morning Tea Recipes

I love a big cup of hot tea, especially at the start of my day during the fall and winter.

But I also love sweet tea.

And in the past year, I discovered a lemonade tea that I particularly love.

Which means that on days when I am short on time, or don’t feel like making a cup of tea, I can pour a glass of sweet tea, instead. And lately, I have been experiencing with how to make the morning tea I drink most often taste even better.

I have been adding Torano’s vanilla syrup to my apple cinnamon, cinnamon chai and even vanilla chai teas.

And I’ve been LOVING it!

But then, I had an idea. Would I also love it added to my sweet tea and lemonade blend? The answer is yes.

In fact, it tastes like a sort of tea party punch, and is delicious.

Here’s the recipe per glass…

Pour a glass of ½ tea and ½ lemonade.

Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of vanilla syrup, based on the amount in your glass

Stir it and enjoy

Note: for a hot cinnamon blend tea, I would add more. I usually add a tablespoon.

By the way, Torano offers both a regular and a sugar-free version of their vanilla syrup. And I know there are other blends that offer a vanilla syrup, to.

Have you ever tried a similar add-in with your morning tea?

See you tomorrow!

Love, Jeanine

Jeanine, yum! We have a small wholesale grocery store nearby, which offers a literally complete array of Torani syrups. Regular and sugarless. I haven't tried the flavor mixes you mention, but I have had a lot of fun with dozens of teas and the coconut and almond syrups. Thanks for the new ideas!

Oh, that sounds wonderful!! And I'm so jealous. The stores around here have only one or two rather mainstream syrups. I'm hoping soon to be able to order pineapple, shortbread and vanilla bean. I have tried vanilla and I like it, but I suspect I'll like vanilla ban even better.

I've never tried vanilla syrup in tea but I love to add a bit of cinnamon especially during Christmas time.

I know what you mean, Martha. Cinnamon seems to taste even better during the holiday season. But you might try vanilla, too, as an add-in. So yummy!

This sounds delicious. I've never tried adding lemonade as well as syrup before but I'd love to try it. I'm a fan of sweet tea too.
