Elf: My Favorite Fae Subtype

This One's My Favorite

What did you think of the Fae subtypes? Were there any that interested you?

I love the idea of Elf but I suspect she and I have different looks in mind. I am thinking Will Ferrell in the movie, LOL. Or Lord of the Rings.

I have to confess to you, though, that when I saw the movie, "Elf," I was so taken by their outfits that I began to plan and sketch an Elf wardrobe. It's basic long-over-lean if you leave out the fanciful parts.

And she did say longer lines and priestess mood (which in this case makes me think druid), and that Polyvore pic is what I came up with for my own version of Elf.

In the hygge comfort and style sense, this outfit would work well for me, too. It looks like it would feel warm and cozy in the winter. Though I don't think I am a fit for the Elf subtype or Fae archetype, this slightly-altered version of Elf would work for me.

What do you think?

Is this Elf style one you could wear?

See you tomorrow!

Love, Jeanine

That looks like me to a T. Long tops over leggings are a staple :-)

Me, too, Janice! You may be too young to remember this yourself, but I have been doing "long over lean" since the 90s. I do change it up, sometimes, with shorter tops, but my instinct is to go back to that. That's one reason I love this system because it showed me ways to vary what I wear and gave it meaning. I love the fantasy part, too.

I love the look! I would even wear it in elf colors around Christmas!

Jeanine,

I love this look. I would definitely wear these shapes. Although, my inner color arranger is switching out the colors as we speak, to black leggings, chocolate sweater, and caramel tank, with multi-those-tones earrings. So what subtype does that make me :-)??

Ooh, I love your outfit idea, too!! Well, Fae seems to suggest you'f wear your palette's greens and purples, but I think an Elf could wear darker colors, so you'd be good to go. :)

This is definitely my style! It's supposed to be substantially cooler tomorrow, especially in the morning, and I was thinking about breaking out my favorite outfit in this style.

That's so neat, Jen!! I haven't had a chance yet, but I bet I will sometime this month.
