If I Were a Magic Queen...

If I simply must go to a wedding...

I hate having to dress up! I was casual before casual was casual. I also am a homebody who would rather be at home then anywhere else. Which is very hygge-like.

And my first reaction to an invitation is feeling annoyed that I might have to "go somewhere," and my second is a reaction to the thought of having to decide on what to wear. Most of my choices in those situations are less formal then the situation calls for, because I am.

Which means I would never actually be a Magic Queen. They love a polished look! Not very hygge because I don't think comfort is the priority. Polished is.

But I think Magic Queen would be a good ally in trying to find a happy medium. So this is my idea for an outfit to a dressy occasion.

What do you think? Would it be right for you?

See you tomorrow!

Love, Jeanine

I love the name magic queen, but I prefer comfort to polished. I do love to go out and see people but I can't enjoy their company if my clothing is screaming out discomfort!!!

Jeanine, greetings! I love the outfit. My wardrobe has gradually gone over to almost entirely knits, although many of the pieces don't look like knits. So I can do slick and tailored, while still being very comfortable and wrinkle-free. You know, if we watch a Disney movie with a Queen, the Queen is never wrinkled. When Melania Trump wore a sky-blue suit for Inauguration Day, she never wrinkled. To complete the Queen's look for today, if she had to go really dressy, a large bejeweled hair ornament would really set it off and take her up a notch, for that high-end gallery opening or cocktail party. What do you think? <3

That would be a great suggestion for a Magic Queen!

I picked that outfit for myself, though, trying to adjust to a situation that a Magic Queen would find easy. Weddings!

I only wear knits, so I would want both pieces to be knit & wouldn't be worried about wrinkles for the most part. But MQs don't wear knits because they wear crisper fabrics, mostly. And that outfit is just the closest I'd be willing to get. An MQ, I'm not, LOL! :)

I would absolutely wear this to work! I'd prefer flats, but other than that, I'm game!!

That's so neat, Carrie! I would prefer flats, too, actually.
