Movie Recommendation: Faith, Hope and Love

I have seen the Netflix movie, Faith, Hope and Love, twice in the past two years, and loved it both times. It is charming, funny and sweet, and the characters are very endearing. Keep reading to learn more about it.

Murgatroyd plays Faith Turley, a woman who enters a dance contest, hoping to nab the $25,000 prize money to refit her dance studio. As Murgatroyd did for many years on “DWTS,” her character helps transform single dad Jimmy Hope (Robert Krantz, co-director/writer/producer for the film) into a dancer.

Though it is clearly a movie about faith, that faith is part of a larger story about grief and loss, not giving up on your dreams and being open to love again.

Oh, and there’s a lot of dancing!

Peta Murgatroyd is the lead actress and she is a former dance pro on DWTS. Her hubby, Max Schmerkovsky, also a former pro, has a cameo role in the movie, as well.

I thought it was really well done, and I believe that may have something to do with Corbin Bernsen. I have seen several faith-based movies he has had a hand in creating (or producing?) and they are almost all funny, the characters seem very real and relatable, and the faith message is there, but not heavy-handed.

Moms, I give it a thumbs up, and I am betting that you and your family will find it delightful.

Watch it during your next family movie night. See if it inspires you to dream your own dreams.

See you tomorrow!
