Remember, several days ago, when I mentioned that I was going to be reading The Christmas Swap as part of a One More Chapter/One More Christmas readalong? Well, it's a three-day extravaganza that started with yesterday's post.
For this post, I've got more about the book and an answer to today's book club question.
"This is the best kiss of your life!"
Day Two: The Christmas Swap Book Review
In my reading, I'm just past each character's celebration of Christmas. Remember, they swapped with each other, so each one could spend Christmas somewhere new.
Each of them met someone and I like the way things are going with each couple. Not that there hasn't been drama, because there certainly has been!
But I like getting to know the characters in each couple and getting to know what they are like in their new relationship.
The problem of what to do once the holiday season is over has not been resolved. Want to read it so you can find out for yourself? The Christmas Swap.
The Christmas Swap: Book Club Question #2
Today's question for our The Christmas Swap readalong is, "what is your favorite Christmas memory?"
I have several favorites, like the one when my parents threw a Christmas party (I was 8), we all went caroling, and then came back for hot apple cider and doughnuts, and I got to hang out with one of my friends. Or the ones where we would open our gifts, and then watch Miracle on 34th Street while my mom made pancakes and bacon for breakfast.
And most of the ones with my son, when he was younger, because it filled me with joy to watch his joy and excitement as he opened his gifts.
But I think my most favorite memory might be the time that I found the perfect gift for my son, and was so excited to find it, I teared up right there in the store! That moment in the store, his astonished excitement when he saw it, and the fact that he wouldn't let that present out of his sight for the rest of that day, all combined to make it my favorite Christmas ever.
What's your favorite Christmas memory?
See you tomorrow!
