This month, I'm participating in the Reindeer Readathon challenge. The goal is to read books based on themes coordinated with each of Santa's reindeer. You get points each time you succeed. Here is the first book I read for the Reindeer Readathon. The reindeer chosen is Dasher, and the book had to have a one-word title. I wanted to try it this month, so I will know if I want to continue with the series after this book is completed. Would I Recommend it?If you liked reading Emma, definitely! I liked the movie version of Emma, with Gwyneth Paltrow, but found it difficult to get through the book. So I thought a modernized version of the story would make it easier. it did not. Several of the characters annoyed me, including Amanda. While the ending and the resolutions are satisfying, it was not easy to get there. Hopefully, the other books by this author, also modern retellings of Jane Austen books, will more than make up for it. The Year of Jane Austen BooksI love book clubs and reading challenges, and I've decided I want to read a Jane Austen book each month in 2021. Either one of her books, a book about her, or a modern retelling of one of her novels. I looked for Jane Austen reading challenges and signed up to find out more about one of them, but never heard anything back about it. So I decided to create it myself. Want to join me? Each month, during the first week of the month, I think, I'll write a post about the book I chose and then, go read your posts, and tweet about them as I read. If you're interested, get more info here. As soon as I have it all firmed up, I will let you know. See you tomorrow! Love, Jeanine
