We're in the second month of our new year and new decade. How is it going for you, so far?
If there are still changes you want to make in your life, you might find this video inspiring. I did, and I wanted to share it with you.
Let me know what you think...
Your to-be list is just as important as your to-do list. - Marisa Murgatroyd
How to Reinvent Yourself
One of the first questions Marisa Murgatroyd asks in the video is what kind of day you would want to have if you had complete choice over it and it could be exactly the way you wanted.
I have thought about this question many times over the years. But, of course, I gave it some thought again, right after I watched the video.
My goal is to create a cozy tea lifestyle, and at the end of each day, I want to have had so many hygge moments that I say it was a great day, even if there were moments that weren't great. But during the winter, it's also my intention to rest. To slow down and simplify.
So my ideal winter hygge day would include a cozy morning routine, a cozy evening routine, and an afternoon tea break with working from home on either side.
The morning routine...
light a yummy-smelling candle
have a small cup of tea & read
have my spiritual practice
The evening routine...
TV or a movie
a tealight candle
a final cup of tea & a snack
an hour or so of reading
My goal has been just a couple of hours of work each day, and an afternoon tea break in the middle.
What would your ideal day be like?
The To Be List
In her video, she points out that your to-be list is just as important as your to-do list, if not more so.
What's on your to-be list?
Though I have given this question a lot of thought, too, in the past month or so, the answers are still a work in progress. I've been doing a lot of exploration and journaling, but am still thinking it over. Or, in other words, completing my list.
What about you?
See you next time!
