The Christmas romance novel I chose for today is one of my Reindeer Readathon choices, which involves picking a book that matches the requirement set for each of Santa's reindeers. For the Donner book, we had to pick a book with a surprise in it.
What surprised me about the book I chose is that each chapter had a color picture just above the heading where it told which chapter it was, and that chapter heading was in red.
Wrapped Up in Christmas
In this Christmas romance novel, an injured and recovering war veteran has left the military due to his injury and is about to begin work for a security company, but isn't needed there for a while. So he wants to find and thank the woman who sent him a quilt of valor.
When he meets her, she turns out to be decades younger than he expected (another surprise). And she thinks he is there to apply for a job she has advertised.
He's gruff and never seems to smile, but after spending time with her, finds that he is beginning to soften.
Would I Recommend it?
Well, it moves slowly. But it's a sweet story, and I enjoyed seeing her through his eyes.
And by the end, the way everything worked out was very satisfying. So, yes, I do recommend it.
See you next time!
