"Friends are as companions on a journey, ![]() I am always so grateful for the Ultimate Blog Challenge! And I am particularly glad to have done so this month. Thanks to all of you other UBC bloggers who have come to see me here and welcomed me at your own blogs. I hope to see all of you again in April when the next blog challenge begins. Meanwhile, I loved sharing the hygge-your-winter experience with you guys. Did you find it helpful? I'd love to know your thoughts! But also tell me if I left anything out. What else would be helpful to you at this time of year? Blessings to you as winter continues! Love, Jeanine

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions. I had never even heard of Hygge so your posts were very informative. I look forward to incorporating some of them into my life.

Hi thanks for introducing me to a new word that I have not learnt how to pronounce yet. From what I have read it comes close to my word "hug" because it makes you feel warm.

How sweet!! It's very nice to get a hug from a Doug, and thanks so much for your kind wish for February. I have heard more than one pronunciation of "hygge," but the one I think is right is "hue-geh."

I truly enjoyed your series this month. One thing that I learned is that I don't have seasonal affective disorder! I was sure that I did because of my depressed feelings during the winter. But... on the day that I walked ten miles through the wildlife sanctuary, I was so happy that day. That helped me to realize that I actually am prone to cabin fever and that cabin fever looks like seasonal affective disorder.

Alice, I am no doctor so I could not ever be the one to diagnose you, but if I walked through ten miles of sunshine (even if it was dim), I would be happy, too!
